  • This is a brand new and exciting opportunity as Head of Deliver for our Cylinder Transport to lead the largest in-sourced distribution fleet within BOC, collaborating across all aspects of our business to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations, dealing the best level of customer service
  • As part of this role, you will ensure that our operations meet the agreed annual performance targets and follow both the statutory and Linde requirements
  • You will be responsible for the development, and drive the implementation of our packaged gas & products delivery strategy, ensuring that the approach in the UK is consistent and in line with global standards
  • Providing functional support to the day-to-day administration and technical authority of transport operations
  • As an important member of the leadership team, you will drive operational strategies with the aim to achieve our key priorities for the Deliver function
  • Additionally, you will work with internal customers across the organisation to establish the best commercial framework expected from the transport operation, and work closely with the supply chain function to plan and deliver agreed levels of service
  • In addition, you will provide internal transport services in accordance with the global Linde policy
  • It will be your role to promote and communicate the development of the department internally and externally with professional bodies such as the Department for Transport
  • And lastly, you will have the chance to identify and lead business improvements across the cylinder transport operations to really make a difference

  • As a self-starter who is proactive and highly safety conscious, you have a knowledge of distribution functions and Health & Safety requirements
  • You also have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others
  • You have good project and change management skills with the mentality to drive improvements forward
  • Furthermore, you have a detailed knowledge of the standards, procedures and specifications within operations and transport safety
  • You enjoy working with a team and have the ability to communicate at all levels across an organisation
  • If you have experience within a trade union environment this would be an advantage
  • You work with integrity, aligned to the values of being an inclusive workplace
  • And lastly, you have a good level of financial and commercial awareness
