Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Join the dynamic Transformation and Enterprise Operations (TEO) Business Intelligence Reporting, Analytics and Insights team and leverage data from across the enterprise and advanced tooling to drive transformative Reporting, Analytics and Insights solutions for business partners across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with Finance and TEO stakeholders to lead the development, deployment and continuous improvement of a suite of automated reporting solutions by leveraging various BI, analytics and ML technologies for management, regulatory and business reporting that will unearth valuable insights for enhanced governance and decision-making. Your leadership will be pivotal in empowering our teams, influencing and ensuring we deliver upon TEO’s strategic objectives, and ensuring our reporting and analytics solutions remain agile and relevant. Join us and make a lasting impact on our organization’s future.What will you do?Lead in the overall direction, recommendation and implementation of automated BI reporting solutions including financial and operational dashboards, data visualizations and a variety of advanced analytics models.Oversight of the development, production and maintenance of financial and non-financial reporting during monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting cycles to meet SLA and quality standards. This includes reporting against EPM, CGID, EDW and any other data sources.Lead efforts to identify and implement process optimization and continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting practices.Lead the establishment of a TEO data center of excellence and data ecosystem, engage in the design, development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes specific to Dataiku, Python, VBA, Tableau and other technologies.Lead the design, development and deployment of storytelling dashboards and efficient data models that provide business insights to support TEO KPIs and strategic priorities.Lead data analytics initiatives and develop analytical models, algorithms, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.Implement robust data governance standards, and processes to monitor self-serve database instances, data volume and governance around guidelines and best practices.Adopt advanced analytics techniques and stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data analytics, including machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics.What do you need to succeed?Must have:A visionary leader with a unique blend of financial acumen, business insight, and technical expertise including leadership by example in teamwork, cross unit co-operation and information sharingExcellent people management skills, 10+ years and/or management of large functional / operation groupBachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent education/experienceExcellent knowledge of financial systems, reporting processes, databases, data engineering, data analysis, data governance and best practices as well as strong knowledge of BI technologies such as Dataiku, Python, Tableau, Cognos Analytics, advanced SQL and other tools.Great organization awareness and strategic mindset to effectively create and communicate the value proposition to a variety of stakeholders, understand and assess tradeoffs, options and implications, impact and influence.Nice-to-have:Experience and knowledge of RBC internal systems (EPM, EDW, ODIN, Workday, Finance Datamart, FiBRS …)Financial Services Industry experienceWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
