If the answer is ‘yes’ then this opportunity could be for you.We’re looking for someone who can user their skills and experience to assist with the delivery of strategic programmes within our IT&D capital portfolio. You do not need a technical background but previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.The role sits within Engagement and Digital Innovation team, as part of the IT & Digital Service, reporting to the Strategic Portfolio Manager.As a Programme and Assurance Officer you’ll be providing a level of independent programme assurance for five high profile infrastructure projects planned to start this year (Contact Centre Telephony, Office Telephony, Wifi Refresh, LAN Refresh and the laptop Device Refresh). The role will assist in the production of high-level programme progress reports to the IT&D Capital Board.The main tasks will include administrative support for the various programme/project boards to include scheduling meetings; produce and circulate minutes; collate and circulate board meeting papers. Logistical support for capital projects for example organising workshop or awareness sessions; contacting service teams and monitoring responses. Assist with collating base data to develop project trackers and collecting metrics to generate dashboard reports for multiple audiences.We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have good written and verbal communication skills, with experience of drafting minutes.
  • Are proficient with office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Have strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Are able to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and ‘can-do’ approach.
  • Have good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
