DescriptionBurns & McDonnell has an opening for a solid waste professional for our Austin, TX, office who will work in a team atmosphere by managing projects, performing detailed technical, financial and operational analyses and working in project execution. - Analysis of financial and non-financial data.
- Preparation and analysis of financial projections and forecasts.
- Preparation of cost of service and rate analysis.
- Development of solid waste and recycling plans and studies.
- Research and compilation of project data.
- Development of project reports, analytical work papers, and project presentations.
- Preparation of project proposals and other business development efforts.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Government, Community and Regional Planning, or other related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of related experience (8 years of experience preferred).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience in the solid waste and recycling profession
- High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Access preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
