  • Plans for instruction by developing and maintaining syllabi consistent with course objectives.
  • Selects material and uses syllabi to organize courses into units to meet the goals and objectives.
  • Participates in student retention efforts.
  • Conducts classroom learning activities, including but not limited to lectures, activities and exercises, audio-visual media, technology, field trips and exchanges, group discussions or other appropriate measures to stimulate attention and interest.

For this position, they are listed below.BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTRUCTORS, GS-1701-09/11:Master’s Degree in the work field identified for course instruction, that included a major study in the appropriate specialty education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position (typically a degree in the field of Management);ORA master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the field of Management.In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications requirements below.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.GS-09: If you meet the basic requirements, you are deemed eligible for the GS-1701-09 Instructor (Management).GS-11: Applicant meets the basic education requirement and possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service that includes: Instructing in a college or equivalent education institution developing, researching, preparing and administering course syllabi and materials, labs and activities; Delivering lectures and presentations both in-person and/or on-line; Evaluating students’ learning in the subject matter; Collaborated with university for courses to meet degree requirements; Developed interdisciplinary instructional materials to enhance student education.ORApplicant meets the basic education requirement and possess 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in the field of Management.Preferred Specialized Experience: Evaluating a specific topic, activity, tool, or requirement’s impact on Federal Records Management programs, policies, processes, and procedures; Understanding the real-life experiences of Federal agencies with regard to the assessment topic and Records Management; Gauging the efficacy of Federal agencies’ implementation of Records Management policies, and compliance with relevant Federal Records Management regulations and NARA guidance; Analyzing assessment data to identify agency successes and challenges related to the assessment topic and the agency’s Records Management policies, processes, procedures, and tools.Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.EducationEDUCATION: Transcripts MUST be uploaded and electronically linked from USAJOBS at the time you apply and MUST include identifying information to include School Name, Student Name, credit hours, major, and grade-point average or class ranking, degree and date awarded.
