Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.The Department of Public Health, Environments and Society (PHES) is seeking an experienced, organised and motivated Department Operations Administrator to join its Professional Services team.The post holder will work closely with, and provide support to the Department Manager and Head of Department, and engage with staff throughout PHES in helping to ensure the smooth running of the Department’s administrative functions, and will act as the first point of call for general administrative queries.The successful applicant will have excellent administrative skills, including proven ability to organise and deliver work according to deadlines and importance. You will be able to use your initiative to solve problems, and be a good communicator with staff and doctoral students at all levels. Relevant experience of providing proactive administrative support in a similar role is essential.The post is part-time 17.5 hours per week, 0.5 FTE and permanent.This role will be primarily office based at Tavistock Place, London. LSHTM operates a hybrid working model allowing a mix of on-site and at home working for this role. Staff are expected to attend LSHTM buildings 8 days per month on average (pro-rata for part-time staff). Staff who prefer to attend the office more than this amount can do so (including every day). Onsite working days are flexible and can be agreed with Line Managers.The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 3 in the range £28,614 – £32,307 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff.
