The ability to teach Psychology and/or Health and Social Care will be an advantage.The successful candidate will join a well-resourced and vibrant Social Science Department which is housed in its own teaching block with excellent facilities. This is a great opportunity to develop teaching skills within a friendly, well qualified and organised department which achieves excellent results. Social Sciences subjects have a large uptake at both GCSE and A Level. This post is suitable for an experienced Teacher or NQT.Highams Park is a very successful co-educational 11-18 academy with 1600 students on roll including nearly 350 in the 6th Form. There is frequent support provided through training and the sharing of good practice.Sociology A Level follows the AQA specification, GCSE Sociology follows the Eduqas specification, A Level Psychology the AQA specification, and Health and Social Care Level 2 and 3 the Edexel BTEC specifications.Sociology is an established and popular subject that has gained top quality results in the past few years.
