Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a Senior Associate, Credit Monitoring, Control & Documentation with RBC Wealth Management you will, assist the credit management functions in support of the WM regional loan portfolio, including ensuring that the bank’s credit risk monitoring and control activities are sufficient to safeguard the bank’s lending activities, as well as assisting in all aspects of legal documentation and review pertaining to credit transactions.What will you do?Prepare loan documents based on RBC’s standard templates for new credits and changes/updates to existing credits and ensure documents are in line with the appropriately approved credit proposal.Responsible for the accuracy of information reflected on the loan and security documentationConduct daily and periodic review of all credit accounts and positions e.g., limit excess and collateral shortfall positions to ensure that any irregularity in the accounts is identified and flagged to the appropriate parties for prompt action, including adherence to approved rectification plans with escalation to ManagerAssist in preparation and review of daily and periodic monitoring reports including overdraft, shortfall, close-out, excess, documents out of order, next review dates, information and covenant monitoring requirements; circulate reports and follow up for responses as requiredEstablish new credit facilities in systems; input and maintain credit information in systems and databases; ensure facilities are correctly recordedConduct proper filing and maintenance of credit and documentation files, including electronic mail approvalsIdentify opportunities to improve data integrity as well as improve efficiency within the credit management processes and work flow while maintaining proper controlsEnsure proper authorization of loan drawdowns (new facilities and renewals) including verification of limit availability, collateral coverage, and compliance with any required conditions; authorize collateral releases in accordance with delegated authorityWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveDegree/diploma from an accredited university in Finance, Business, Economics or related experience3+ years of credit administration and/or loan documentation experienceGood communication skills both verbal and written in the English languageAbility to interpret loan approval terms and mechanics of credit facility agreementsWell organized with strong attention to detail and accuracyNice-to-haveGood understanding of lending policies and credit proceduresFamiliarity with credit systems including CoMS, CASPER and CCMSDemonstrate personal time management and prioritization skillsAbility to operate in highly active environment and adapt to rapid changeWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
