Works in coordination with team coaches on developing and implementing physical training
programs for their athletes
2. Monitors athletic practices and games, provides medical treatment immediately following an injury.
3. Stays current with new techniques, equipment and medical treatments for athletes through continuing
education, conferences/seminars, professional societies and journals

QualificationsEducation, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine or other related Athletic Trainer Program
- Master’s degree in exercise science or health promotion preferred
- Current National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) Certification
- Current BLS Certification
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Ability to read and write English Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors and others Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
- Ability to respond to pages
- Ability to lift and transfer patients exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, an/or 25 to 50 pounds
frequently * Ability to tolerate prolonged walking and standing
- Ability to deal with a variety of stressful situations including emergency response to patient incidents
