1The United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations (UN) in Geneva represents the interests and policies of the UK at the UN.What is this role all about?We are looking for a Residence Officer to provide support to HM Ambassador’s Residence Manager to maintain an excellent level of service at the Residence, assisting with the day-to-day service and requirements, and especially when preparing and helping with official visits and events.   • Supporting the Residence team for official events and visits:
  • Helping with the preparation and cooking of the food;
  • Professional serving of the foods, and
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Flexibility to work and to help out at busier times.
  • Assist with planning for visits and events.
  • To ensure an exceptional appearance of the Residence, with particular attention to the fresh flower arranging:
  • Creating, sourcing and managing the upkeep of the flower arrangements as needed throughout the Residence, including at official lunches, dinners, receptions.

  • Elementary written and spoken English* (A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages);
  • Fluent written and spoken French* (C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages);
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flower arranging experience.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience 1It will be a plus:

  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • Professional course in hospitality, tourism, etc.
