Infrastructure provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.For more information about Alberta Infrastructure, please visit:Role ResponsibilitiesAs the Digital Project Delivery (DPD) Supervisor, you are the Government of Alberta’s champion, primary resource, and subject matter expert in the field of DPD. You will have the overall responsibility for managing and setting the direction for the DPD team. This includes supervising and coaching to DPD technologists prioritizing and assigning work, establishing team processes/procedures/documentation, and providing senior level DPD support to the ministry.Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Supervise and lead two DPD Technologists in the delivery of the DPD team’s mandate. This includes onboarding, training, and direction of day to day activities.
- Establishing the overall objectives/goals of Alberta Infrastructure’s DPD Program. This includes working with both internal and external stakeholders to establish program requirements and leading those same stakeholders in the development and execution of plans to meet those needs.
- Determining what gaps exist in the program, and management of both internal and external resources in addressing those gaps. This could include the development of new processes, procedures, documentation, training, etc.
- Liaise with other parts of the Ministry to ensure the services being provided by the DPD team are of a value-added nature to all stakeholders.
- Lead development and maintenance of provincial standards for DPD based on research and industry best practices.
- Lead training initiatives, including the creation, education, and delivery of training programs.
- Provide technical support to DPD projects including project work relating to modeling, detailing, clash detection, and costing.
- Investigate potential for automation of routines to support standards and productivity.
- Provide technical advice and support to the department on all areas of DPD.
- Stay informed on DPD best practices by attending conferences, seminars, training, and workshops for DPD.
- Provide recommendations on emergent DPD issues to project teams and senior management.
- Work with IT team to develop compatible technologies and environments that support current and future DPD initiatives.
- Coordinate DPD project close-out/transition to facilitate DPD for facility management.
- Manage software products including the incorporation of new version releases and customization of the product.
- Liaise with DPD vendors, service providers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure Alberta Infrastructure maintains its leadership position in the field of Digital Project Delivery. This includes leading the team’s ongoing research, participation in industry events, and support of NGO activities in the DPD realm (e.g., CSA, ISO, etc).
QualificationsRequired:

- A two-year technical diploma in a related field (e.g., architectural design or engineering) plus a minimum of six (6) years of related experience.

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
