Please see the links* at the bottom the page, to find out more about DSV.DSV are recruiting for a Logistics Co-ordinator in Aberdeen.This role will meet customers’ requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company.Key TasksReport to the Management team on customer KPI’s, service level agreements and financial targets.Expediting – Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.Communicate with the warehouse regarding all aspects of the incoming and outgoing workflowMaintain inventory and electronic update to WMS.Ensure successful planning and completion of shipments through communication with client and operations department.Duties / ResponsibilitiesLiaise with other DSV/Agent’s offices in the UK and abroad, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements.Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.Arrange with approved hauliers for transport of cargo, confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost effectiveness.Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices, as required.Maintain awareness of and follow HMRC regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.Skills and CompetenciesForwarding or relevant trade qualification2 Years of related Work Experience4 GCSE’s or equivalentAdministration SkillsC2C experienceLiterate & NumerateHealth & Safety awarenessStrategic PlanningCargoWise 1 experienceFinancial, interpersonal, communication and computer skillsSecurity Awareness Level 4 (Airfreight Export)Dangerous Goods (Air & Ocean)What can we offer you?Competitive Salary Package and an opportunity to be a part of and grow within a driven and successful company, with a team of 75,000, operating in over 95+ countries.Be part of a company that has strong ambitions and targets for sustainability initiatives, both internally and externally.
