CRS’ relief and development work is accomplished through programs of emergency response, HIV, health, agriculture, education, microfinance and peacebuilding.Job SummaryContributes to driving internal and external ICT4D thought-leadership, communication, knowledge management and capacity building. Responsible for the effective sharing of ICT4D knowledge across the agency, through the development, dissemination, and ownership of relevant communications assets and fora. Supports internal ICT4D capacity building, learning, and continuous improvement as well as enables access to relevant learning resources. Supports external ICT4D thought leadership and knowledge exchange. This role works in a highly networked manner with colleagues across the agency.Roles and Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of CRS’ ICT4D learning agenda and support continuous improvement through the identification and acquisition of new ICT4D capabilities through research.
- Drive and facilitate internal ICT4D knowledge exchange and internal communications through the development, dissemination, maintenance and marketing of high-quality, compelling communications assets, events, and the ICT4D Hub on MyCRS. Coordinate with key internal stakeholders to identify and develop relevant content.
- Contribute to, and in some cases lead, internal ICT4D capacity-building by identifying, enabling access to, and in some cases developing relevant learning resources, including curating an ICT4D curriculum on CRSLearns. Contribute to the identification of ICT4D capacity-building needs and delivering training.
- Contribute to external ICT4D thought leadership and knowledge exchange by driving the development and external publication of relevant content as well as assisting with ICT4D Conference events.
- Maintain strong internal networks and stay up to date on key ICT4D approaches, projects, innovations, and themes within the agency.
- Contribute to other areas as assigned as a member of the ICT4D team.
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in international development, international relations or communications or related work equivalency
- Minimum of three years relevant work experience with progressive responsibilities, ideally with an international NGO
- Experience with knowledge management and learning within an organization, including knowledge of relevant technical principles and concepts
- Experience researching, crafting, and delivering knowledge products – reports, white papers, guides, handbooks, etc.
- Experience with learning & development and capacity strengthening design and delivery – curating, crafting, and facilitating brown bags, communities of practice, trainings, workshops, etc.
Languages – Must be fluent in written and spoken English; French or Spanish fluency desirable.Travel – This position will require occasional travel (15% or less), including to resource poor international locations.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
