The primary responsibility is to support the commercialization of an innovative allogeneic cell therapy in the US and to provide supply to markets outside of the US, primarily Europe. To achieve this objective, this role will have accountability for process science, external manufacturing, US distribution, global supply and quality. The cell therapy is licensed from Atara Bio and manufactured through CDMO. As such, Head of Tech Ops will oversee technical operations transfer, strategy, and capability build that Pierre Fabre will need to market its first US cell therapy. This role will oversee and provide technical guidance, strategic direction, and long-range planning in the execution of all CMC and related activities, including external CMC activities at CDMOs and CTOs. This individual will work closely with cross functional team members to drive commercial success and will have a “hands on” operational approach and ability to deliver corporate goals integrating internal and external resources. This role reports to the CEO of US Pharmaceutical.DETAILED MISSIONSWorking closely with the CEO and leadership team to direct and implement effective business strategies and organizational structures. Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth.Achieving operational excellence by overseeing the execution functions, systems, processes and procedures and leading corrective measures as necessary.Identifying areas for process enhancement, establishing corrective measures, and managing change.Proactively identify potential risks of CMC timelines and deliverables and communicate/implement effective risk mitigation strategies.Responsible for performance management and annual operations planning.Planning, directing, and implementing operational policies, rules and initiatives.Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.Working closely with CEO and CFO to plan financial milestones, manage budgets and ensure adherence to set objectives.Responsible for building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.Represent the US through technical operations assessments in Business Development activities and portfolio planning.Demonstrate thought leadership by representing Pierre Fabre at industry meetings, conferences and functions, as appropriate.Engage with HQ management and operations leaders to ensure alignment and support of US decisions.Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.Other duties are requested by the Business.DIMENSIONSCell Therapy OperationsKEY COLLABORATIONSExternal partnersCommercialMedicalFinanceRegulatoryCOMPETENCES-CLESAcademic qualificationsHigh level education (min.
