Position SummaryMagellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer.
- Full Time Permanent Contract
- 39 hours per week.

Essential Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement of All ME Production and Assembly processes
- Produce SOP’s to support Production processes
- Provides programme update reports on achievement, forecast out turn, issues, risks and customer feedback
- Development and application of tooling and assembly methods
- Interface with other offices and manufacturing facilities, the senior management team, partners and customers for engineering related tasks
- Participates in company engineering development strategy
- Developing and supporting best practices
- Supporting investigations and practical problem solving exercise
- Improving processes to reduce non value added activity while ensuring safety and product quality
- Working on multiple Manufacturing Engineering Projects to improve Quality, Cost and Delivery
- Working with new and existing vendors to reduce cost on tooling
- Working within CAD to produce solutions and design for ME activities
- Supporting the development of the lean culture
- Ensuring all processes and tooling adhere to the site Health and Safety strategy
- 3D Model and Engineering Drawing generation
Position RequirementsAcademic:
- HNC HND or Degree in a Relevant Engineering Discipline
Experience:
- Over 5 years Manufacturing Engineering experience with a firm understanding of Aerospace product industrialisation
Key Competencies:
- Computer literate (MS Office, MS Project, MRP systems).
- knowledge of Multi-discipline Engineering fundamentals
- knowledge of multi-discipline engineering practices, processes and procedures
- knowledge of aerospace materials and standard hardware
- Communication
- Team working
Other skills/AbilitiesSkills:
- SOP development and creation
- CATIA V5 experience beneficial
- Good knowledge of CNC Machining
- Good Knowledge of Assembly Methods and Tooling
- All round basic knowledge of CNC Machines and controls
- Tooling and Fixturing knowledge
