– Reviewing and understanding Credit Approvals

  • Have an understanding of the Credit Approval process
  • Ability to understand and translate the Credit Approval into the Banks Quantitative Data Model
  • Ability to understand the executed Loan Documentation, especially the Credit Agreement, to look out for certain clauses that indicate borrowers, type of products, amounts, maturity dates, sub-limits that CA-CIB is involved in to ensure they are in line with the Credit Approval
  • Ability to review the Closing Request submitted by the FO/MO for consistency to the executed loan structure (borrowers, products, amounts, maturity dates, sub-limits) – Modeling the signed structure in the worldwide authorizations system (BMA) and ensuring it is within the credit approval (or less risky)
  • Control the Data Quality of the Authorization to allow other departments to be able to accurately monitor the Clients exposure (i.e. ability to trigger anomalies that relate to over-limits, unauthorized products, unauthorized borrower, transactions past maturity dates, etc.).
  • Record Maintenance of the authorization (i.e. Renewals, Increases, Decreases, Refinancing, Extensions, Annual reviews) – Investigation of anomalies from the modeling of the signed documentation structure in the authorization system.

  • Have an understanding of commercial products (Commitment of Commitments, Term Loans, Delayed Term Loans, Revolving Credit Facilities
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor explaining the structure of the authorization as outlined in the Credit Approval and the signed documentation structure for the Operation Risk Control – Keeping the authorization current throughout the life of the transaction.
