Join us!Job DescriptionThe Payments team processes incoming and outgoing electronic/manual payments for the Bank’s clients/branches/departments. The types of payments processed are Customer Transfers/ Bank to Bank transfers/ Payroll/ Pension payments in various currencies.The Lead Operation Representative is responsible for day-to-day processing of electronic and manual payments and adheres to, and ensures, established deadlines are met.The Lead Operations Representative will be required to work shift and support as required weekends or statutory holidays as required for businessResponsibilities:Repair Electronic payments on GBS (Global Banking System) and AS400 systemsEmail notifications to serving teams and complete investigations on same day wires and other queries as receivedRoute incoming messages to various departments within OperationsProcess bulk files/pension paymentsProcess Exotic Currency paymentsFile, and send files to offsite storage and maintain storage recordsProcess manual payments/ accounting entriesProcess Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) filesHandle other payment process-related duties/functions as assigned in team or within other departmentsPerform User and Performance Acceptance testingPerform task within payment operations as assignedRequirements:One to three years of experience in payments processing with financial institutionsWorking knowledge of Global Bulk/GBS or payments systemsKnowledge of payment process and Canadian clearing systems and rulesFamiliarity with SWIFT messages and proper formattingWorking knowledge of accounting conceptsProficiency with Excel, Word , SWIFT Alliance systems with keyboarding skillsExcellent communication and problem solving skillsDemonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to meet established deadlines in a fast paced environment with changing prioritiesStrives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions.Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward.Experience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs – is a continuous learnerCommitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change.Participate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base.Believes in value of diversity so we can reflect, connect and meet the diverse needs of our clients and employees around the world.Willingness to learn and take on new tasksAvailability to work various shifts and Statutory Holidays or weekendWhat Bank of America OffersBank of America embodies a culture that extends from how we think, to how we behave, and to how we measure performance.
