Job Description:Service ArchitectLocation Basingstoke – 5 days a week – Office based.Are you skilled service architect with excellent interpersonal skills who can learn and adapt to work across both legacy and new technologies as part of a live system transitioned programme?Do you want to make an impact and change the way the world works? This is your world and your opportunity to transform it for the better.Your roleWe are looking for a Service Architect to work as part of a multi skilled agile team, including security, service and management where teamwork is paramount.Your role will be challenging and varied, where cross training is expected and challenges shared.

  • You must be keenly aware of the need to support end users with vital work by providing an excellent customer focused service.
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of new & ongoing change to work packages, in response to evolving user requirements.
  • The successful candidate will have the responsibility of owning the delivery of a work packages from design, through prototyping, ensuring the work package meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • UK national with DV clearance, with demonstrable experience of working in high security environments.

Your experience

  • Ownership and accountability of service design for complex or high value deliveries into live service
  • Understanding customer’s IT operational structure;
  • Development of detailed end-to-end service designs:-
  • Impact assessment (IA) of current operating and governance models against scope of work;
  • Design of future operating and governance models;
  • Identify and develop test requirements to feed into overall test plan;
  • Detailed knowledge of service management concepts and techniques;
  • Significant experience of service operating model design for major IT systems;
  • The ability to write coherent, concise, and readable technical service documentation;
  • Significant experience of working to tight timescales within a high energy team environment;
