Student Supervision Assistant positions can range from 30 minutes, 55 minutes, 90 minutes, 110 minutes or 2 hours and 30 minutes per day.This recruitment will be used to fill regular and substitute assignments.Applications are processed to establish a list of eligible candidates by school site or by desire to be a substitute.Please apply online at .BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of an assigned Principal, or designee, assist in the supervision of students in all areas of the school campus, including the cafeteria, multipurpose room, playgrounds, parking lots, bus unloading/loading zones and areas adjacent to the school, to provide for the safety and well-being of students. Incumbents do not report to a classroom teacher and do not provide academic supportive functions, but are instead primarily responsible for supervising students’ behavior and ensuring students’ safety.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Graduation from high school or its equivalency and six months of experience in supervising or working with school age students in an organized setting is desirable.LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Performance Examination: 100%The supplemental questions to the application will be reviewed and rated for certification. These questions are required at the time of application and are qualifying.An eligibility list will be established for successful candidates which will be used to fill substitute and regular positions during the life of the list.Examinations and interviewing for creating the eligible list will be conducted virtually using different online/internet platforms that require video recording or conferencing capabilities, as well as access to a computer with an internet connection and basic Microsoft Office Suite Software.The performance examination will be held on an as needed basis, typically one time per month. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Supervise and monitor students at assigned times, in assigned areas, to assure their well-being and safety.Direct students and enforce school rules and conduct standards with a professional tone and consistent manner. Proactively intercede in potential problem situations between students.Use positive and effective behavior strategies to model and promote good student behavior. Help guide students in developing good habits of sportsmanship and citizenship.Perform minor housekeeping tasks to assist in maintaining a neat, clean, orderly and safe atmosphere for students.Assess student injuries and secure assistance. Report student injuries to supervisor; complete accident reports, as required.Scan for wandering students and unidentified visitors, checking for valid passes, as necessary. Report unauthorized activities and unauthorized persons on school grounds to supervisor.Monitor and report any potential safety concerns to supervisor and write basic follow-up communication, as needed.Alert staff or administrators in emergency situations, as appropriate. Operate two-way radio equipment for emergency assistance, as necessary.Attend scheduled in-service meetings, as required.OTHER DUTIES:
