Which is where you join the journey.WHAT TO EXPECTJLR has the opportunity for a high calibre Engineer to join our Current Manufacturing Engineering (CME) team, as a Process Engineer. The team is expanding for current ICE production facilities and future powertrain facilities, to assist the development of Jaguar Land Rovers electrified future. The successful candidate will be a key part of the process team, working closely with Manufacturing Operations teams assisting current production and Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) departments ensuring robust and quality handover of new equipment and facilities.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Daily personal management, including workload, objectives and deliverables
  • quality and accuracy of personal output
  • Personal technical development to address the challenge of varying skill levels where appropriate
  • Ownership of all tasks related to our Operations, Engineering (Product Development) and PTME departments
  • Personal administrative tasks, end of year reviews, workload forecasts etc
  • Improve current facilities to deliver safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure quality capture, capable equipment and maximised “right first time” throughput
  • Ensuring IATF 16949:2016 adherence assisting all levels of audits as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Process engineering experience within current manufacturing arena – including experience in quality process control with tools such as PFMEA, Control Planning, Process Audits and Critical Characteristic Cascade
  • Assembly protocols with an ability to analyse and interpret data output from quality tools such as Engineering Workstation and SAP
  • Process Authoring Tool (GSPAS), simulation and virtual toolsets i.e. Digital-buck, CATIA V6 and Byteworx
  • MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project)
  • Inline testing and audit requirements
  • Work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to projects from early concepts through launch into current production
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A good understanding of engineering including the ability to review engineering drawings and interpret/use CAD
