With a national presence in Canada in major markets, Roynat assists growth-oriented companies in reaching their goals across a wide range of industries.Associate, Roynat Equity Partners – Ottawa, ONRoynat Equity Partners – Fund of FundsPurposeThe Fund of Funds Associates will assist in portfolio management, financial modeling, performing research and analysis. The role will also include preparation of reports for internal purposes, compliance, and regulators; assist in preparing regular investment summaries on funds/companies under management; and prepare, analyze and present portfolio statistics.What You’ll Do:

  • Assess and analyze financial performance of private equity and venture capital funds, including the development of financial models.
  • Create of reporting presentations
  • Support deal due diligence and execution efforts
  • Identify ancillary revenue opportunities for the bank
  • Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis and create/maintain models
  • Collect, consolidate and interpret corporate and industry data
  • Financial and written analysis of fund performance and their underlying portfolio companies
  • Maintain database of ancillary revenue targets and results

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in private equity or similar role, private equity/venture capital fund experience an asset.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, math, engineering, economics, science or technology would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong quantitative skills focusing on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of work quality
  • Ability to excel under pressure with demanding deadlines and perform effectively in a team environment.
  • High professional standards, including a strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
  • High level of energy and desire to learn new concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French

Working Arrangement:This position is currently a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work two days a week (minimum) in the office.
