Job descriptionSEN Teaching AssistantProspero Teaching are working with a ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated SEN School based in Bournemouth seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for September 2024This specialist setting caters for children and young people aged 11-16 with Autism alongside other complex needs to include SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.Your role will include providing support for pupils, teachers, and the school, working within small-class sizes or with pupils on a 1:1 basis offering a therapeutic approach rich in vocational opportunities.If you are ready for a challenging, yet highly rewarding role and can help make a difference to children and young peopls lives, we’d love to hear from you!Contract Details:

• Location – Bournemouth, Dorset
• Position – Teaching Assistant
• Type of work – Support role
• Contract or position start date – ASAP/September 2024
• Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
• Contract type: Temp/Perm
• Full time/part time – Full time
• Minimum rate of pay – From £85.10 – £98.20
• Hours – 8:30 – 16.00 (32.5 hours per week)

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent (preferable)
• GCSES: English & Maths
• Minimum 1 year working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
