Leveraged Finance Associate – Leading International Law FirmWe are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Leveraged Finance Associate with 1 to 3 years of PQE to join our client, an esteemed international law firm, in their London office. The London team’s advice is underpinned by deep practice and sector expertise, enhanced by first-rate market knowledge.Role Details:As a Leveraged Finance Associate, you will be involved in a wide range of acquisition financings, including senior debt, mezzanine debt, subordinated debt, high yield, unitranche, and other debt and equity products. Your responsibilities will include advising on the structuring and execution of leveraged finance transactions, working closely with investment banks, private equity funds, sponsors, and corporations. The role also involves advising on interest rate management in acquisition financings through instruments such as interest rate swaps and caps.Our client’s leveraged finance team is distinguished by its breadth of expertise and its ability to handle complex transactions across the full range of financial products and international jurisdictions. The team works collaboratively, combining knowledge from their Acquisition Finance, High Yield, Private Equity, Tax, Antitrust & Competition, and Restructuring teams to provide comprehensive and seamless service throughout a transaction.Key Responsibilities and Requirements:The successful candidate:
- Will be a UK qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials and a current practising certificate.
- Will have at least 1 to 3 years of PQE with experience in leveraged finance, ideally gained in a leading City or international firm.
- Will possess strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex transactions are essential. Excellent communication and drafting skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, are highly valued.
