Our immunisation and vaccination service has been running since 2009 and forms part of our established clinical services in the North of England.We also provide management and clinical support to other GP practices and NHS bodies. We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services since the company was founded in 1999. Our team is made up of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), nurses, pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams supported by a centralised back office function; providing finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.We operate NHS services across the North East, North West, Yorkshire and The Midlands.The purpose of this role is to support nurse-led Flu immunisation sessions in schools and community settings between September 2024 and December 2024.Office Administrators are needed during school term-time only, ad-hoc support may be needed at community clinics during holidays or in the evenings / weekends.We can offer flexibility on part-time or full-time hours, working either set days each week or ad-hoc as needed on our rota. Full training will be provided.Successful applicants will be based in either:
- Claire Court, Rawmarsh Road, Rotherham, S60 1RU.
Key Responsibilities:
- To handle telephone calls to and from parents/carers within a busy team, working in line IntraHealth guidelines.
- Checking consent forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Preparing accurate paperwork for the flu session.
- Preparing catch-up lists for consented children who missed the first session.
- Transporting vaccines, equipment, and paperwork from the office to the school.
- Following all safety policies and measures as appropriate.
- To attend (in person) a Flu Training Day and to undertake on-line training before commencing work.
- Sorting and preparing data and files for data entry
- Accurately inputting vaccination details onto the clinical system
What are we looking for?
- You will be an effective multi-tasker with good organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
- You will have excellent time management skills, be a flexible team player and be able to work at pace with excellent attention to detail.
- You will be able to lift and transport vaccine bags and equipment to flu sessions.
- You will be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.
- As travel to schools within the region is integral to the role, you will need a driving licence, access to a vehicle and car insurance for business use. Business miles are reimbursable.
- An Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken.
