Job Description:Job Title: Finance Manager – Management AccountingKey Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Deliver accurate monthly management accounts with analytical commentary, ensuring consistent comparison to budgets.
• Complete annual budget preparation and financial reforecasting as required by the business.
• Support operational cash flow forecasting and cash flow management in collaboration with central finance colleagues.

Billing and Cash Collection:

• Ensure timely and accurate billing and cash collection for services provided.
• Support the Chief Care and Support Officer in managing rate uplifts proactively to ensure maximum recovery and agreement.

Financial Controls and Compliance:

• Maintain an adequate financial control environment in compliance with regulatory requirements and group accounting policies.
• Conduct quarterly performance review meetings with Portfolio Heads and support operational financial decision-making.

Team Leadership:

• Line manage 3 Senior Management Accountants and their teams of Junior Management Accountants.
• Recruit, grow, and develop team members, setting SMART objectives and holding regular one-to-one and career development conversations.

Strategic Support:

• Act as the principal finance contact for Portfolio Heads.
• Provide financial input for tenders, new business cases, location exit decisions, and risk profiling.
• Support external audits and conduct CQC return reviews as directed by the Head of Finance.

• Act as an ambassador for the finance team in interactions with internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with colleagues and customers to reach efficient, accurate, and timely outcomes.
• Share knowledge, experience, and skills with colleagues and support other departments as appropriate.

• Actively seek and provide supportive feedback to promote growth.

Qualifications:

• Professional qualification in accounting (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting or a similar role.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial managers.
