Credit Risk ControllerFunction: Finance – Star Pubs
Location: Edinburgh (a mix of office and home working)Salary: £23,000 – £28,000 base depending on experience, plus full benefits listed below.

There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for a Credit Risk Controller to join our Finance team in Edinburgh.About the role
Credit Control is more than simply collecting payments. Building strong relationships with our customers and colleagues to keep pubs open and trading is essential to the success of Star Pubs.Our team Credit Risk Controllers are each aligned to a regional area of the UK and build strong ongoing relationships with our leased pub operators. Credit Controllers collect payment for drinks orders and rent and agree and monitor repayment plans for debt. Working closely with our field-based Business Development Managers and Regional Operations Directors, you will ensure that the right commercial decisions are taken to keep our pubs trading while minimising credit risk, always ensuring compliance with Credit Policy and Pubs Code.Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who can hold confident and robust conversations with our customers. Making decisions that benefit both us and the outlets and working at pace will be key.If you;

  • Are comfortable working with numbers and bank reconciliations
  • Have a good understanding of the Microsoft Suit including Excel
  • Can build relationships with internal and external stakeholders through great communication skills
  • Have an eye for detail and can maintain accurate records
  • Experience with MI Reporting and Power BI would be fantastic, though not essential

Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.We’re currently gearing up for an exciting move! In 2025, we’ll be relocating from our current location at Broadway Park (on the outskirts of Edinburgh) to a modern, flexible working space in the heart of the city centre.The move to our new home at 6 St Andrew Square is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025, subject to detailed planning and relevant approvals. The site will have great transport links and will be just a five minute walk from Waverley station.There’ll be plenty of support for colleagues during the transition to the new location, so stay tuned, and once you’re onboard you’ll have access to a SharePoint site with further details.Who we are
