This pivotal role involves:· Strategic Leadership: Crafting and communicating a robust people strategy that aligns with our short-term and long-term goals.· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with executive teams and various stakeholders to ensure our people initiatives are prioritized and effectively resourced.· Data-Driven Decision Making: Leveraging data analytics to enhance workforce planning, talent management, and overall efficiency within the People function.· Governance and Oversight: Ensuring robust frameworks and governance structures are in place to support and drive people priorities.Below is a summary of the knowledge and skills required for this role however for the detailed role profile, providing a more in depth understanding of all the role entails, please send an email to [email protected]Main Responsibilities· Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior leaders to develop a comprehensive people strategy that supports the organization’s objectives.· Thought Leadership: Provide insights on HR trends and best practices to attract, develop, and retain top talent.· Capability Building: Enhance the organization’s ability to use people analytics to inform strategic decisions.· Global Budget Management: Oversee the global budget for the People function, ensuring optimal resource allocation.· Leadership and Management: Act as a deputy to the Global Director of People Experience, providing strategic leadership and oversight.· Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain internal and external networks to inform and influence decision-making at the highest levels.· Innovation and Improvement: Research and implement industry best practices to drive innovation within the People function.Minimum/essential requirementsWe are looking for a strategic thinker and experienced leader with:· Ability to address complex organizational challenges, develop guidance frameworks, and propose solutions.· Experience collaborating with multiple HR and business stakeholders and establishing and/or chairing governance mechanisms to balance interests and ensure appropriate prioritisation of initiatives.· Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.· Successful history of leading organizational responses to change.· Senior stakeholder management engagement and relationship building.Desirable· Change management qualification or equivalent.· Strong understanding of HR best practices, talent management, and organizational development.Language RequirementsThe British Council systems and global processes operate in English.
