This long-term contract / temporary Bookkeeper role will be located in the Ottawa, Ontario area. If you have experience with A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting, then this may be the right Bookkeeper role for you.Your responsibilities:-Oversee and manage general ledger-Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information-Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits-Balance accounts by reconciling entries-Maintain quality historical records by filing documents-Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures-Be responsible for accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions-BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred-3+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper-Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired-QuickBooks experience highly preferred-Practical knowledge of payroll-Bookkeeping experience-Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)-Adeptness in data entry-General familiarity with month end closings-Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel-Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)-Bank reconciliations experience preferred-Solid understanding of account reconciliationRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
