Growing our clients’ financial future requires looking beyond the numbers, offering a human approach, and a commitment to relationship building.The opportunityThe Wealth Advisor will provide investment and financial planning services to new and existing CWB clients with assets under $500,000. Delivering on CWB’s brand promise, the successful incumbent will provide proactive client solutions, exceptional service support & financial advice to ensure clients reach their individual goals & objectives.The Wealth Advisor has a focus on developing and nurturing client relationships, and partnerships within CWB, to grow assets under management.AccountabilitiesClient ExperienceDeliver on CWBX through proactive service, personalized advice, specialized expertise & knowledge, and united relationships across CWB for full-service products & advice.Engage with clients in the discovery process to identify and analyze client needs using financial planning principles; develop appropriate action plans and product solutions.Use client insights to drive and guide prioritization and handling of key relationships, information, and documentation. Developing strategies and scheduling for each client relationship.Construct and when necessary, adjust client investment solutions to align with their objectives and risk profile, through regular proactive client contact and KYC reviews.Develop proficiency with investment and financial planning tools/software to support client discussions.Develop strong partnerships across CWB, in particular CWB Banking Centres, to facilitate expanded relationships with existing and new clients.Refer to the Private Wealth Specialists where assets or complexity of financial planning needs requires additional expertise and support.Business DevelopmentAchieve individual business growth goals including net new asset and referral targets.Develop a strategic business plan to support annual goals and objectives of seeking prospects and building existing client relationships. Actively use the plan to monitor success and identify challenges; seek support and guidance leadership on specific activities and strategies.Pursue client opportunities, identify and execute on business development activities.Practice ManagementImplement programs and procedures to ensure administration is functioning effectively and complies with applicable policies and regulatory requirements in all areas.Utilize programs for client relationship management and maintain data integrity for reporting requirements.Maintain strong knowledge and a robust understanding of key trends & product solutions within the investment & banking industry.Actively pursue learning opportunities and fulfil continuing education requirements for registration and designation purposes.The successful incumbentEducation & ExperiencePost-secondary or equivalent experience.Mutual Funds License (CSC), or IFIC Certification with actively working towards CSC completion.Suitable investment advisory designation, or substantial progress toward same (e.g., CFA, CIM, CFP, QAFP, PFP).Minimum 7 years progressive investment/financial planning experience.Proven experience in business development and relationship management, through in-person and digital channels.Personal CompetenciesStrong passion for building client relationships and delivering concierge, boutique service to clients.Excellent knowledge of Banking and Wealth Management products and services.Strong familiarity with financial planning principles, tools and software.Excellent presentation, communications and interpersonal skills.Commitment to continuous learning and development in wealth management, financial planning strategies and industry knowledge.Thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at balancing multiple client demands and adapting to changing priorities.Willing to take accountability for results and being open to feedback and continuous learning.Strong self-starter that can contribute and collaborate with the team.Proficient with technology and always looking for ways to improve client service by leveraging technology.Exceptional time management skills.Working ConditionsSome travel may be required.Why work with us?
