Site: Princess Margaret Hospital, 620 University Avenue, 14th floor

Reports to: Finance Business Manager
Salary range: $74,428 – $93,035 (To Commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Status: Permanent, full-time
Closing Date: July 25, 2024Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliation and other related banking transactions: working with external/internal resources to resolve variances on a timely basic;
- Prepare financial reports and month-end reconciliation, investigating any discrepancies in SAP and excel to ensure accuracy of financial records;
- Maintain year-end working papers and spreadsheets, as well as supporting audits and independent review preparations to uphold compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Supervise billings to internal and external customers, record incoming payments and ensure they are allocated correctly against outstanding invoices;
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- Manage departmental paper and electronic data records, ensuring their completeness and integrity;
- Identify accounting issues and process inefficiencies, offering recommendations for improvement.
- Perform cross-functional duties, as assigned or requested, including providing back-up support for other financial analysts (i.e. perform AP duties, prepare bank deposits)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent program
- Completion/ enrollment in CPA designation is preferred, or relevant combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years related experience in an accounting environment
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, multi-task and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Experience in a major ERP ( e.g. SAP) system preferred
- Experience working in healthcare environment is an asset.
