We provide rapid access along busy commuter routes to our seven cities, servicing the varied needs of our business and leisure commuter services, including cross border services and rural services. We have up to 50 freight services operating every day and we are steadily building capacity for this to grow. We actively challenge unsafe practices and take responsibility for addressing risks, resolving issues and protecting safety and wellbeing.Brief DescriptionFrom establishing safety arrangements to checking the quality of work, you’ll direct and inspire the success of a team involved in everything from inspection and faulting, through to maintenance and renewal.More about Distribution & Plant….You’ll be managing a team that keeps power flowing through the electrified rails safely and efficiently. The team work on the nuts, bolts and cables of the electrification system to make sure that the railway has the power to run the trains, signals and stations.Internal Candidates Please Note: There may be a requirement to work on call in this role if you opt to take the GTRM IMC25 contractAbout the role (External)We’ll look to you to direct, organise and motivate a high performing team. From inspection and faulting through to maintenance and renewal, you’ll play a hands-on role. You’ll make sure everything is done efficiently and to the highest standards. Safety will be a priority. You’ll establish appropriate safety arrangements and make sure Network Rail staff and contractors alike follow safe systems of work. Proactively controlling and checking the quality of work and the competence of your people, you’ll see to it that assets are fully compliant and all vehicles, plant, tools, equipment and materials are fit for purpose.
