Job Description:We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Specialist to join our team in Surrey, BC. This role reports directly to the CFO, with an indirect reporting line to the Accounting Manager.Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank Reconciliations (50%): Manage bank accounts and reconcile 20+ accounts daily.
  • General Ledger (30%): Post entries in the GL and perform GL reconciliations.
  • Adhoc Tasks (20%): Engage in investigative accounting tasks, resolve discrepancies, and handle various accounting duties.
  • Credit Card Transactions: Enter information into the accounting system.

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in Accounts Payable and/or Accounting Clerical roles within Canada.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in coding, intercompany allocations, and heavy reconciliations.
  • Education: Relevant accounting certification, diploma, or degree.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excel Proficiency: Intermediate level required (VLOOKUP’s, PivotTables, etc.
  • Multi-Company/Currency: Experience handling multi-company and multi-currency transactions.
