As a Sr. Consultant you’re excited about the future of payments in Canada and at CIBC. This role facilitates strategy and insight into High Value Payment program and drives coordination and alignment. You will ensure our strategy supports compliance, regulatory and business requirements. The Sr. Consultant will work very closely with Business Architecture and Low Value Payments groups to identify opportunities for re-use, common deliverables and project synchronization. You will be joining a team of ambitious, like-minded payment enthusiasts who passionate about the intersection of business, strategy and project delivery. You strive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and are able to balance assertion and patience along with perseverance. Over the next 3 to 5 years you will help transform our payments ecosystem.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How You’ll SucceedUnderstanding and Documenting Requirements – Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate Business requirement discussions to ensure you meet project/program needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.Business requirements – Build business requirements that meet business/clients needs. Prepare and validate business requirement documents around areas such as scope clarification and solution requirements.Holistic end to end approach – you make an effort to understand the interfaces that can be impacted by the change, engage stakeholders and believe in teamwork. You think Over communication is not a challenge but an opportunity to build relationships.Testing – You are seen as a product subject matter expert and know that right thing to do is to have product delivered in production without any defects in order to streamline operations. For that you will not shy away in having right conversations with testing stakeholders.Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of Business and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.Communication – As a SME you will communicate, influence, and inform across various levels of the organization. You will facilitate conversations with various stakeholders (external) and agile team (internal) to communicate the payments vision, tactical steps, blockers, and success stories.Critical Thinking – In this role you will be responsible utilizing your critical thinking and analytical skills to assess the development of payment solutions, and how they achieves the desired outcomes from a business and customer standpoint.Who You AreYou can demonstrate experience with: 5+ years in a BAs/BSA in a role leading projects and developing business requirement documents. With the ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation. Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders and having strong communication skills is a must. You have strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise. You are proficient with Excel pivot tables, Visio, and other Microsoft office applications. You have strong problem solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and exceptional organizational skills.You can work independently , understand that payments life cycle is critical to the organization , have experience dealing with vendor systems and complex interfaces both upstream and downstream such as reporting.It’s an asset if you to have experience in High Value Payments, Wires Transaction, ISO20022, Swift/Lynx Payments, Accounting/Settlement/Reconciliation.You put our clients first.
