If you’re comfortable with establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements, you could be a good candidate for this position.How you will make an impact– Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections– Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules– Filing documents to maintain historical records– Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time– Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers– Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll– Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions– Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
– General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel– Well-founded grasp of Accounts Payable (AP)– Accounting Software Systems experience– Microsoft Office Suites experience– Knowledge of ADP Financial Services– Quality experience with Billing Functions– Proven knowledge of Accounting Functions– Experience with Microsoft Outlook– Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations– Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks– High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred– Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight– Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds– Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate– Experience with payroll preferred– Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting– Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments– Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience desired– 3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping fieldRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
