Duties include but are not limited to performing oversight of Technology projects that meet requirements defined in Florida Statute, directly managing internal projects, and driving Florida’s digital transformation by effectively facilitating the delivery of solutions and services designed to further the mission of FL[DS] and meet customer needs in the areas of cybersecurity, data interoperability, and technology project management. The ideal candidate for this position can engage with and capture customer needs in a manner that facilitates identification and delivery of a solution, embodies servant leadership, is highly organized, adaptable, curious, detail-oriented, strategically motivated, an active listener with strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, and takes ownership of their work.Essential job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs oversight of large state Technology projects including independent analysis, review and reporting on a technology project’s scope, schedule, and budget while quantifying variances, and identifying issues and risks threatening the successful and timely completion of the project.
  • Leverages servant leadership qualities to successfully manage internal Florida Digital Service projects, ensuring their timely and successful completion in a manner that builds partner relationships and gains stakeholder trust. Includes facilitating the resolution of conflicts, monitoring and reporting individual and enterprise project or program status, issues, and risks to executive management.
  • Anticipates and identifies opportunities for service delivery to agency customers and designs and recommends solutions to meet their needs. This includes actively engaging with the FL[DS] program area teams to obtain a clear understanding of the customer’s needs and opportunities which align with the FL[DS] mission. The incumbent is expected to effectively run and facilitate meetings with internal and external customers. This includes pre-meeting preparations (agenda development and calendar invitations), and meeting follow-up tasks and activities including meeting minutes and action items tracking.
  • Performs advanced business analysis activities that addresses communicated needs provided by external stakeholders and customers. Includes deep-dive recommendations for primary and alternate solutions that serves as the business case for future projects.
  • Participates in the FL[DS] Office of Enterprise Technology team’s efforts to achieve measurable and definable successes on defined and targeted missions that includes actively participating in collaborative internal and external team meetings, participates in the creation of standardized templates and documentation aimed at streamlining operations across the enterprise, and providing reports as necessary to provide timely insights for the team and customers.

Minimum Requirements:Experience successfully managing projects through the entire project lifecycle which includes monitoring and reporting project status, issues, and risks to executive management.Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Business Analysis certification or experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
