The Scoring team assesses the disclosure of thousands of companies and cities in order to generate a score that is a snapshot of their performance in environmental themes: climate change, water security and forests.We are hiring a Technical Officer – Climate Change Scoring to contribute to the successful delivery of the CDP scoring cycle. The successful candidate will be involved in running the annual scoring process and gain a strong understanding of the CDP corporate questionnaire and Climate Change methodology. For the right candidate, this experience could lead to excellent opportunities and supercharge a career in sustainability.As the Technical Officer – Climate Change Scoring, you will:
- Support future scoring methodology development through data analysis of scoring trends
- Carry out quality assurance and data quality processes on scoring
- Support development and quality assurance of scoring automation technology
- Respond to technical queries on implementation of the scoring methodologies
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Academic and/or professional experience in climate change and/or corporate sustainability
- High attention to detail and ability to work to tight timelines;
- The ability to understand, organize and analyse qualitative and quantitative data;
- Good proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially the use of Excel for data analysis;
- Flexible, diligent working style with a proven record of working within a team to deliver projects successfully:
- Ability to self-motivate to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
Salary and benefits:
- £32,000 GBP per annum
