  • Oversee the preparation & distribution of an hourly, salaried and pension payroll for multiple locations with various collective agreements
  • Manage processes required to ensure all legally required tax filings
  • Ensure third party payments are prepared and submitted to the appropriate agencies
  • Reconcile & check payroll input of Payroll Specialists and ensure appropriate controls are in place to monitor payroll processes
  • Analyze & reconcile all payroll bank accounts for all companies
  • Ensure accounts are balanced and information is provided to accounting by monthly deadline
  • Oversee and coordinate entire year end process
  • Ensures all required processes are clearly documented
  • Work closely with stakeholders to recommend changes to improve the efficiency of the payroll processes
  • Recommend system changes or enhancements due to policy, collective bargaining and/or legislation changes
  • Recommend and/or assist with Automation updates and changes of payroll processes
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to the team to achieve team and departmental objectives
  • Coach team and provide feedback on goal achievement and performance development

Who You Are:

  • 3-5 years end to end payroll experience
  • SAP Success Factors experience
  • Experience as a team lead or supervisor
  • Intermediate skills in Excel
  • College/University Degree in related field
  • Payroll designation is a requisite
  • Possesses strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Having high attention to detail with strong organizational skills
