Job Title: Finance ManagerLocation: High Wycombe (Hybrid)Salary: £60,000 – £70,000Industry: Life SciencesThe Company –My client is a large multinational life science company at the forefront of innovation and health. They have a global presence in over 40 countries, comprising multiple R&D centres, production sites, and corporate offices. They are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join and expand their UK team.The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting records and financial reporting in compliance with UK Accounting Standards, including FRS102, and group standards. The role involves overseeing the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, preparing financial statements, managing period closings, and coordinating year-end audits with external auditors.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Compliance:

  • Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and financial regulations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
  • Oversee Accounts Payable functions.
  • Supervise Rebates Payable processes.

Prepare and finalise Annual Financial Statements. * Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliation and analysis, adhering to the Groups guidelines and reporting standards.

  • Propose and implement solutions to enhance and optimize internal processes.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Accounts Payable Administrator, offering day-to-day direction and task oversight.
  • Supervise the Rebate Administrator, providing daily guidance and task oversight.
  • Provide strong and close leadership to staff members, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time, and promoting cohesive teamwork.
  • Manage team performance, and provide development and coaching opportunities.
  • Set objectives for team members and deliver regular feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Life Sciences industry experience preferable
  • Experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Experience with leading a small team.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

Expected salary

£60000 – 65000 per year
