We are well known for our undergraduate program where students live together in residence halls, traveling to different cities around the world over their four years of study. We teach using a web-based platform that supports real-time, synchronous seminars (ranging from 15-19 students) with high levels of student-faculty interaction. All Minerva classes are seminars, not lecture courses, and use active learning to help students learn to think critically and creatively as well as to communicate and interact effectively with others. The majority of our students are undergraduates pursuing four-year degrees. Minerva offers a Master of Science in Decision Analysis, as well as other programming for professional learners, which we are actively looking to scale over the upcoming few years.The RoleThe Enrollment Associate will grow Minerva University’s brand awareness across the globe, lead direct outreach and recruitment activities for Minerva’s undergraduate program, build key partnerships with local, state, and national government entities in their assigned regions, as well as be responsible for data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting to inform enrollment and relationship building activities.She/He will engage with and support high school students from the prospect to matriculation stage through relevant awareness building, lead engagement, and nurture programs. She/He will also develop Minerva’s connection to relevant stakeholders – school and independent counselors, parents, student organizations, and government entities – with the goal of creating a better understanding of and appreciation for Minerva’s academic programs. She/he will be responsible for utilizing data analyses and statistical modeling to shape enrollment plans, as well as reporting relevant data to partners and compliance stakeholders.This is a remote role and requires extensive travel. The start date is ASAP.Key Responsibilities
- Broaden brand awareness & partnership engagement in assigned regions with a focus on student recruitment
- Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Enrollment to develop and implement a regional outreach and recruitment plan to build a broader and deeper understanding of Minerva University, its academic programs and general approach to higher education, in stakeholder networks (prospective students, parents, counselors, education programs, and student organizations and government entities)
- Connect with local, state, federal, and private entities within the region to advocate and generate support favorable to the interests of Minerva University
- Utilize data analysis and statistical modeling techniques to inform enrollment plans and practices in the region
- Represent Minerva University at regional events, fairs and conferences strengthening the university’s relationships with key partners
- Host workshops, seminars, and campus events to expose stakeholders to Minerva’s academic programs and student experience
- Communicate the benefits and intricacies of a Minerva University degree, as compared to degrees from other U.S. institutions, to a culturally diverse audience
- Applicant outreach & engagement
- Define and execute undergraduate student outreach initiatives across the region through direct student outreach, college search platforms, talent identification programs, and partner network development
- Review and monitor applicant activity in the region, assessing trends and providing analytical reports to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment with a focus on country-specific trends that could impact enrollment efforts
- Engage and support applicants through relevant nurture and communications activities, and support programs
- Develop relationships with mission-aligned organizations and high-achieving student programs at the local, state, and federal levels for prospective student outreach activities across the region
- Host information sessions and manage regional presence to reach and nurture connections with prospective students
- Organize parent and counselor activities to help raise awareness in relevant networks
- Serve as a primary contact for applicants, parents, and counselors from the region
Requirements
- Belief in and passion for fulfilling the Minerva mission: to nurture critical wisdom for the sake of the world
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in US university admission or counseling or similar preferred
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required, working knowledge of Spanish is a plus
- Required knowledge and experience in at least one other educational system (both K-12 and secondary) outside of the U.S.
- Demonstrated ability to connect authentically and professionally with stakeholders of diverse backgrounds at varying levels – high school students, parents, organization leads, government officials
- Strong sense of personal accountability and follow through
- Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with a globally distributed team
- Demonstrated experience moving work forward in a remote environment and with a high degree of independence
- Demonstrated experience presenting complex information about the U.S. higher education system both in large and small group settings
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Passionate about improving higher education and excited about reimagining the university experience
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Availability to work extended hours and some weekends as needed
This role will report to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment.
