Job descriptionProspero Teaching are looking for ambitious Psychology graduates who are finishing their studies and looking for paid work experience within education support.We are working closely with Special Needs schools in the area that are looking for graduate teaching assistants and learning support assistants to join them both immediately and/or September ahead of the new academic year. Reaching out to those interested in child development, education psychology or teaching, this opportunity would provide excellent and valuable hands on experience.The role would be providing group or 1:1 support with children aged between 5-16 years old with additional needs, learning difficulties, autism, adhd and or speech and language difficulties. Some children may display occasional problematic behaviour and this role would suit someone who can think on their feet, is confident and nurturing.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location – Failsworth, Manchester (M35)
- Position – Teaching Assistant
- Type of work – Classroom support / 1:1 Student support
- Contract or position start date – ASAP / or September 2024
- Duration / Likely Duration – Full term and extended into September 2024
- Contract or position end date (if applicable) – July 2024
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary (Some permanent opportunities)
- Full time/part time – Full time
- Minimum rate of pay – £90+ per day
- Hours – 8:30 am – 3.30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
