Duties:

  • Delivering 1:1 support in the classroom with the possibility of small group support.
  • Provision of appropriate additional learning support to learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Achievement of learning outcomes, by learners receiving additional learning support, as detailed in individual learning plans.
  • Good communication between learning support and curriculum staff resulting in seamless additional learning support delivered to all entitled learners in the most appropriate manner and location.

Skills/experience:

  • You will have experience or the potential to become an outstanding learning support assistant.
  • Experience of supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Well organised and hold an excellent range of communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Level 2 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent desirable.
