Primary Teaching AssistantLocation: NewcastlePay Scale: £75 – £100 per dayStart: September 2024Contract: Part-Time/Full-TimeGSL Education’s Newcastle branch is looking for a proactive and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools in Newcastle.Job summary:Primary Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in the primary phase, assisting with educational activities, providing pastoral care, and helping to create a positive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and implementing educational activities.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils to reinforce learning.
- Assist with the organization of classroom resources and materials.
- Foster positive relationships with students to support their well-being and progress.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school setting or relevant qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and empathetic approach to working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
