Job Summary Provides the strategy, definition, development, delivery and support of IT systems and services as required to establish new or enhance existing business processes. Manages activities through senior managers and managers and implements corporate and divisional strategic plans and budgets.Job DescriptionWhat will you do?

  • Lead and provides oversight for key activities that enable the effective and efficient operation the team.
  • Responsible for the business and financial management functions, as well as key Business reporting and performance management activities within a highly complex, medium to large Team while supporting key transformational initiatives within the organization.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage the creation and management of the Group Operating Plan including Annual budget and forecasts; 5-year plan; tracking actuals vs plan; spend vs budget; progress against plan; financial forecasting to transit managers; FTE, contractors, and professional fees budget; track group savings/cost containment/cost avoidance etc.)
  • Perform necessary reporting to satisfy Finance requirements.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and optimization initiatives | Provide accounting support to SMT in cost avoidance and toil determination.
  • Develop business cases and PARs. Track PARs and ensure appropriate adherence to PAR requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams globally to improve data integrity of the financial records.
  • Preparation and execution of financial transactions (TRF request, approval and initiate budget orders).
  • Leads and or supports monthly business review (MBR) process with VP and SMT.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • 7 – 10 years of experience in a technology environment, preferably in banking.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing and leading highly complex, medium to large technology and infrastructure teams, with focus process and technology cost allocation.
  • Process and technology cost allocation in a banking environment.
  • Finance and budgeting process.
  • How technology is used and what drives costs in technology.

Nice-to-have

  • MBA, CMA and/or Project Management
  • Finance background an asset
  • Experience in managing and leading technology and infrastructure teams, with focus process and technology cost allocation
  • Risk assessment and quantification.
