Take the lead in championing CWB’s regulatory reporting needs, collaborating with external authorities, and diving into the complexities of financial regulatory reporting, as well as non-routine financial requests from top-tier Senior Management and CWB Executives. Embrace the opportunity to make a real impact!Areas of focusRegulatory ReportingOversee and manage regulatory reporting of the Finance department for all CWB Group entities.Manage transition of changes in regulatory reporting processes due to system upgrades or regulatory changes.Provide guidance and support for the regulatory team on new or revised reports.Approve and ensure timely submission of all regulatory reports, including our Capital Adequacy Reports.Ensure internal controls and documentation for regulatory reporting are adequately maintained.Review CDIC premium differential calculation and return of insured deposits.Assist with the development of strategic capital planning for CWB Group.Accounting and Regulatory ResearchDevelop and implement new systems or processes for regulatory reporting or technical accounting projects.Lead projects requiring regulatory capital, accounting, or financial analysis.External Financial StatementsAssist in preparing Annual Report and external financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Coordinate ad-hoc info requests, collaborate for solutions, and enhance the organization’s performance.Provide thoughtful responses, lead/support projects, and assist in planning projects efficiently.Successful incumbentWe’re seeking a dynamic, quick-thinking team player who thrives independently. Take charge, make sound decisions, and promote seamless cooperation within our Finance Management Team to achieve shared goals.Core knowledge requirements and Demonstrated ExperienceBachelor of Commerce and/or Business Administration degreeCPA designationIntermediate/advanced skills in the use of Excel, Word, Access.Five (5) or more years of technical accounting experience within or related to the financial institution industry.Strong understanding of the financial and accounting standards applicable to financial institutions, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Supervisory experience and working in a public company considered an asset.Why work with us?Your success is our obsession!
