Our research plays a key role in tackling many global challenges, from reducing our carbon emissions to developing vaccines during a pandemic.DepartmentThe Student Immigration team, within Student Registry, ensures that the University provides high quality visa support to international students and their families before their arrival, during their time in Oxford and the transition to returning home or remaining in the UK to work. It also ensures the University fulfils all its duties as a licensed sponsor of international students under the Points based immigration system.You will deal with a range of queries from staff and students about visa advice and compliance matters and assist with a range of administrative functions required for student visa holders.What We OfferAs an employer, we genuinely care about our employees’ wellbeing and this is reflected in the range of benefits that we offer including:

This role also offers the opportunity for hybrid working.About the RoleThis role will work with the advice and compliance sections of the Student Immigration team in advising on obtaining entry clearance overseas, extending a visa within the UK, post study work opportunities and advising staff and students on visa compliance obligations and preparing CAS numbers for visa applications. The team also offer specialist support and guidance for college, department and divisional users of the eVision Visa Management System.About YouYou should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to show a personable, confident, and diplomatic approach that employs tact, discretion, and initiative in liaising with senior colleagues, external bodies and all members of the collegiate University.
