The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of treasury operations, financial markets, and financial modeling.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and update various models used by the treasury department.Responsible for cash flow forecasts and recommendations on borrowing needs or the use of cash surpluses from different subsidiaries.Conduct credit analysis of key suppliers to Cogeco.Prepare or update quarterly financial expense budgets, bank ratio forecasts, and cash flow projections.Quarterly evaluation of derivative financial instruments and market value of debt.Manage currency purchases, currency and interest rate swaps.Prepare quarterly compliance certificates with various lending financial institutions at Cogeco.Ensure the application of processes and procedures within the treasury team and that cash controls remain appropriate.Manage electronic banking platforms: monitor users, authorization levels, and provide training.Manage bank accounts, including the preparation and updating of all required documentation with banks.Train the treasury technician as needed and participate in multifunctional projects.Oversee bank transfers related to interest payments, foreign currency purchases, cash surpluses, and intercompany transfers.Provide support to the investor relations team by performing various analyses as needed.Working closely with the Treasury Director, the analyst proposes and implements continuous improvement initiatives such as process automation and better integration of financial tools.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Administration with a focus on Finance, Economics, or Accounting.CFA, CPA, or M.Sc.WORK EXPERIENCE5 years of experience in treasury or financial modeling.SPECIALIZED SKILLSExcellent proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Office tools.Analysis and modeling with attention to detail.Knowledge of the banking sector (an asset).Rigorous, autonomous, and analytical.Team-oriented.Ability to conduct strategic financial analyses focused on decision-making and problem-solving.Knowledge of accounting standards related to treasury (an asset).Strong communication skills.Bilingualism required (English and French) the employee will need to collaborate with teams located in Burlington and the United States.#LI-HybridLocation : Montréal, QCCompany : Cogeco Communications Inc.At Cogeco, we know that different backgrounds, perspectives, and beliefs can bring critical value to our business.
