As a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and contributing to cutting-edge research in the field of quantity surveying and commercial management. Your expertise in pre/post-contract cost management following the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) standards and guidance will be essential in shaping the next generation of Professional Quantity Surveyors (PQS) and Contractor Quantity Surveyors (CQS) and advancing our research initiatives.The Lecturer in Quantity Surveying will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and advancing research in cost planning and commercial management, quantification of construction works (measurement) in line with the RICS New Rules of Measurement (NRM) other related standards and guidance and using digital tools, contract practice and administration, project finance, project feasibility and risk management.The successful candidate will contribute to both teaching and research excellence, foster industry partnerships, and mentor students at various academic levels. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of cost planning and commercial management and a strong commitment to work towards qualifying as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. They will be expected to join our dynamic quantity surveying and building surveying team to deliver student-cantered, high-quality teaching and research.The PersonThe ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of quantity surveying related subjects in accordance with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) standards and guidance. They will join our dynamic team, which is part of a department comprising over 30 distinguished academic members of staff.
