Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Responsible for the program management to achieve greater energy efficiencies, and for providing reporting and analytical support for energy and sustainability reporting metrics.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Global Portfolio Operations GHG Reporting:
- Lead the generation of the international portfolio Scope 1, 2, and 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reports based on the GHG Protocol and other required frameworks on an annual or quarterly basis. Key activities include:
- Contact internal and external parties to oversee the collection, validation, and accuracy of utility data, including landlords, property managers, facility managers, corporate jet/Canadian Field Fleet Vehicles/Business Travel and international teams.
- Check regularly utility data for accuracy and collaborating with accounting, IT teams, and energy consultants to identify and rectify anomalies.
- Collaborate closely with GHG auditor to provide requested information for assurance.
- Drive process improvement and data collection automation.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate emissions data.
- Ad-hoc reporting as required.
- SaaS Applications – ESG Reporting and Utility bill tracking:
- Manage database availability and performance, including incident and problem management.
- Leverage the ESG reporting application to identify gaps and trends in historical consumption.
- International Banking activity Reporting:
- Interim quarterly reports – Major, Small, Leasing, Asset Management and FM
- IB Branch Rankings – quarterly
- IB Portfolio (branch ISP, and office) – quarterly
- Country Profiles – annual
- Stacking Plans – annual
- Google Earth Layers – annual
- Collaboration with Corporate Sustainability Team:
- Participate when needed on ESG, CDP, DJSI, OSFI B15, ISSB, Sustainable Finance, and other related sustainability reports.
- Benchmark the organization’s ESG performance against industry peers and best practices.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- University degree or community college diploma in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, building science or building engineering, environmental management, preferred.
- Well-developed relationship management skills along with the ability to interface, manage relationships at the Manager/Senior Manager/Director levels.
- Understanding of building performance engineering, asset management and capital planning concepts, terminologies and practices.
- Advanced knowledge of units of energy / utility measurement and conversion calculations.
- Advanced knowledge of utility tariff structures and utility bill generation and processing including deregulated market structures.
- Certified Energy Manager from Association of Energy Engineers, an asset.
- Certified Measurement and Verification Professional from Association of Energy Engineers, an asset.
- LEED Certification from Canada Green Building Council, an asset.
- Certified Commissioning Process Management Professional from ASHRAE, an asset.
- Bilingual English/Spanish Required
