Primary School Teacher – Long Term One-to-One SupportCompany: Tradewind RecruitmentLocation: Widnes, UKJob Type: Full-time, Long-termSalary: CompetitiveJob Description: Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to provide long-term one-to-one support at a mainstream primary school in Widnes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering personalised instruction to a student with additional needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive academically and socially.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one academic support tailored to the individual needs of the student.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the school’s SENCO and other relevant staff.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the student’s growth and development.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage the student and enhance their learning experience.
  • Monitor and assess the student’s progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed to address emerging needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s education and well-being.

The desirables:

  • Experience working on a one-to-one basis with children or adults with additional needs.
  • Strong knowledge of primary curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time (8.30am – 3.30pm).

The essentials:

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Oversea Police Clarence (if necessary) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover last 10 years of employment and education.
  • Legal right to work in the UK
