Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Financial advisory as a strategic co-pilot for Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS), which is the team responsible for providing all technology needs for Capital Markets from software development to technical hardware. The team works together with the Front Office to provide innovative and scalable solutions for the dynamic environment of Capital Markets.You will have the opportunity to direct relationships with QTS Business Management and guiding the strategic direction of the QTS team. Provide financial advice in the creation and maintaining of scalable reporting and analytics, with a specific focus on QTS impacted costs. Enable strategic business decisions through financials analysis including Resourcing and Capital vs. NIE analysis for CM Businesses. You must have an appetite for working in a forward looking and innovative environment, thrive on challenges, want to over-achieve and make a real difference with the business.What will you do?Prepare financial insights for CMOC, QTS OC, T&O Monthly BRD, GM Monthly MBR and Quarterly QBR for senior management to enable strategic decisions on investments, hiring and cost management. This spans both departmental expenditures as well as financial insights and advisory to the group’s interactions with other CM businesses on a recurring basis.Further enhance and build on Finance’s internal capabilities in cost reporting to further proliferate learnings and best practices across CM Finance’s Advisory teams.Building subject matter expertise on all cost lines and opportunities that can be used to further support cost saving initiatives.Perform select month end close as well as forecasting and planning activities.Respond to ad-hoc requests from T&O Finance, CM Advisory teams and CM businesses to further add strategic value by leveraging deep insight.Create financial reporting to provide information on various perspectives of Capital Markets Technology Costs.Leverage knowledge of QTS business to provide deeper insight in financials utilizing driver-based analysis.What do you need to succeed?Must-haveUndergraduate degree with 2+ years of relevant work experienceExperience in complex wholesale business activity, namely a thorough understanding of Capital Markets businesses and transactions, and associated risks & returns.Experience in management reporting and analysis, stakeholder interactions and relationship managementExperience in Technology Application Development/PortfoliosExperience in complex wholesale business activity, management reporting and analysis, and/or financial resource optimization (capital, funding, and liquidity).Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills required, with data mining skills and ability to explore new technologies to enhance the delivery of financial informationNice-to-haveCPA or CFA or Finance MBA highly preferredExperience and good understanding of bank structure, risk management concepts, financial markets and instrumentsExperience in financial modelling including understanding of statistics, risk or other quantitative metricsExperience working in Fin-Tech industryWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, thinking progressively to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
